Willow Farm Therapeutic Riding in Marquette

When: Sunday, June 7th from 4:30-6:30pm

Where: Willow Farm, 5048 US Highway 41 S, Marquette, Michigan 49855

The Willow Farm Therapeutic Riding Program provides riding lessons to physically and/or mentally disabled children. The movement, emotional bond, and social environment strengthens the students physically, mentally, and emotionally.

This orientation is for people who have never volunteered before and would like to get involved.

We are looking for volunteers who can side walk for these riders. You don’t have to be experienced with horses or children with disabilities to volunteer, however attending a New Volunteer Orientation is mandatory as well as being 14 years old.

Orientation includes a PowerPoint presentation, paperwork, and a mock riding class. If you’d like to complete the paperwork beforehand and bring it with you to orientation, please refer to our website: wftriding.org.

Scheduling will be offered at orientation but you can also look up our schedule on our website (wftriding.org) and Facebook page to get an idea in advance.

If you have any questions or would like to RSVP for the New Volunteer Orientation, please call/text Regan at 906-360-1513 or email: rkoers@nmu.edu.
