New Volunteer Orientation – August 28, 2016

4:30pm-6:45pm

Location: Willow Farm Therapeutic Riding Program
5048 S. U.S. 41 Marquette, MI 49855

Description:

The Willow Farm Therapeutic Riding Program provides riding lessons to physically and/or mentally disabled children. The movement, emotional bond, and social environment strengthens the students physically, mentally, and emotionally.

-This orientation is for people who have never volunteered before and would like to get involved-

We are looking for volunteers who can side walk for these riders. You don’t have to be experienced with horses or children with disabilities to volunteer, however attending a New Volunteer Orientation is mandatory as well as being 14 years old.

Orientation includes a PowerPoint presentation, paperwork, and a mock riding class. If you’d like to complete the paperwork before orientation please refer to our website: wftriding.org to complete and bring to orientation with you.

Scheduling will be offered at orientation but you can also look up our
schedule on our website (wftriding.org) and Facebook page to get an idea in advance.

If you have any questions or would like to RSVP for the New Volunteer Orientation please call/text Regan at 906-360-1513 or email: rkoers@nmu.edu
